Camping in Yosemite

Above is the beautiful Yosemite Valley, sparkling gem of California and home to the Lemons' family for the last week. Below is the whole camping crew: starting on the right is Bebe (Grandpa Bob) next to his bride Dede (Grandma Dhana). Next over is Evan (Cam's brother) and his girlfriend Sarah. Then of course the little Lemons- Cam holding a squirmy Josiah and me with Jordan on my back.
One of Jen's favorite moments was a peaceful evening bike ride through a medow where she got to watch a sunset in stormy skies which illuminated Half-Dome in pink lighting.

Some of Cam's favorite moments were playing horseshoes with his brother, throwing leaves off the bridge into the waterfall with Josiah, and the morning walks with Jen and the boys.

Josiah's favorites include the bus rides (he would cheer and clap as the shuttle approached) and the hikes to the waterfalls and the powerful mist they created.....but you don't have to take my word for it:

And to crown the week we were able to spend easter at Alana and Corey's house (Cameron's sister and brother-in-law) where we did an Easter egg hunt, had a huge Easter feast (I seem to remember large chunks of ham for multiple meals during that day) and Josiah got to ride on tractors and on Auntie Alana's horse.

Giddy-up!

And for you viewing enjoyment, here's a little Ansel Cameron:

Where is your favorite camping spot?? Tell us about it!

Wow! Making me jealous... Thanks for sharing that. Jen, I absolutely love lightening filled skies as well. I wish I could have been there with you! You guys are blessed to be able to have that time with your family. Cherish it!

Hope all is well with the rest of your life.

Love,

Rachel

Those were beautiful pics! Yosemite is so inspiring with the beautiful lakes and jagged mountains. I recently went to Estes Park in the mountains on a church women's retreat, which is probably one of my favorite places in all of Colorado.

I imagine having that time with your family was refreshing. Jordan seems like a joyful and content little camper :)

love ya,
Jess

Great pictures! I'm jealous as well - those are our stomping grounds and my hometown-in-law (if such a thing exists. Yosemite is a magical place, I don't think I'll ever get tired of exploring it.

I'm sure Cameron remembers our adventures there as well. Did he point out the auto-repair store? - or the parking lot where we changed his alternator...again? I think we almost died driving back to SB that night, we were so tired.

Thanks again for putting Carolyn up for a few days - sounds like she really enjoyed her time with your clan, and came away very encouraged. Her interview at Irvine was her best yet (so she thought)...

God's peace,
Eric
