Leafworks, Sticks and Pain

Yet another painfully enjoyable week! Isn't it a wonder that parents still have enough of their wits left about them after their first two children get out of diapers to help their kids with fifth grade math! What a challenge. I think I spent more time changing diapers this week than sleeping. We had a couple of break downs, but it was just enough to bring us to our knees and find enough help and strength to continue on and even a little extra to laugh in the process.

Jen just had to take advantage of this fleeting New England fall with her creative powers. With Jordan dangling from her shoulders and Josiah doing his best to undue all her organizational effort, she cleared a path in the leaves to create a beautiful scene I like to call Pathway to the Next Season; Or you can call it 'leaves next to grass' if you want...either way. We thoroughly enjoy our leafworks and delight whenever these moments of inspiration actually meet the energy required to make them happen.

Her is Jordan snuggled up next to mama during a walk we took this week. How precious. After a sacrificial diet change by mom, including cutting out her sacred daily allotment of milk, the little guy is doing much better with his digestion. For a while there every fart and burp was like passing a kidney stone... or a kidney. But its much better now. Thank you Lord.

On our walk we went to visit our friends Birdie and Greg, but unfortunately we did not have the key to get into their aparment building nor a way to call them. We thought we would be sneaky and throw sticks at their window to get their attention. Well the good news is that Jen's aim was
accurate at the window which we were aiming at; the bad news is that we were aiming at the wrong window! A cute little Asian girl peeked her dark eyes over the window sill to look at what was running into her window and then turned around to report to her parents. We were so surprised and excitable by that time, we just turned and ran! Our laughter probably gave away our escape route. We only realized later upon reflection that our friends must live on the third floor instead of the second! Well, we continued on our way to the tire swing because we didn't want to enter back into the county where we were 'wanted' criminals! Yet another chapter in the escapades of the Lemons...
