Fallfest!

Are these the saddest Jack-o-lanterns you've even seen or what?!

There is an explination for these deformities, but you'll have to read on to get the full story...

Okay, let's just take one minute to give a high-five for grandmas. Okay, good. My high-five went to Jordan, because he was the only one currently in the room and it included thanks for warm meals, getting out of the house, up-lifting conversation, clean floors, good advice and a partridge and a pear tree besides. As you probably guessed we had another grand-visitor this week: this time from the Lemons side of the family.

The Lemons boys were filled up with a whole lot of affection this week as you can see by Josiah's contented gaze whether taking a bottle or riding a dump truck (which incidently has a smaller race car squished between JB's rear and the truck because one piece of heavy machinery just isn't enough for that boy!:)

Well, here's the little secret. Jen threw me a smashing good B-day party with friends gallore, great leafy decs, cider, pumpkin pie and several funny games to enjoy. The highlight was the blindfolded pumpkin carving contest. Yes, that's right- 15 minutes, one knife, one blindfold, teams of two with only one person allowed to touch the pumkin-and that being the one who can't see! Fortunately everyone finished with the same number of digits they started with, but they were lighter a couple of laughs! What a great time. It could not have gone any better. Thank you Lord for good friends.
By the way Jen and my pumpkin was the second from the left and we lost the vote to the 3rd and 6th pumpkins! I demand a recount (but I must admit I was using the secret orange pumpkin carver rather than a steak knife). Maybe justice was served after all...

Happy late birthday Cam! Sounds like your party was fun. I like your pumpkin game idea. I'll have to steal it. Hmmm.

I'm tired and off to bed. Hope we can catch up more soon. Please put more photos of baby Jordan up!

God Bless You Lemons,

Rachel

OK, I won't kill you. That was tolerable. Loved "seeing" everyone today. I'm always amazed when I look at the # of minutes we were on the phone. It always seems to go by so quickly, especially with those loooong "bye byes". I'm all psyched for clearing out the old. Loved getting to share a little time with you all. God bless you daily. We love you. Mom & Dad

I don't think I'm brave enough to trust myself to blind pumpkin carving - I'm erratic enough as it is! You can see some of our pumpkin pics on my blog if you like. Happy B-day Cam! How old are you? Looks like we both have wives who love to surprise us on our birthdays. Jess threw me a killer party a couple of weeks ago. You can check out a pic or two on her blog.
Love you guys,
Tim
