Rocky Mountian High

Last weekend I (Jen), with Jordan in tote, took a trip to Denver, Co. to visit our dear friends Jess and Tim Dunbar. It was so refreshing to get some fresh mountian air (above is a hike we took to St. Mary's Glacier), AND to get to see the beautiful lives that Jess and Tim lead. Their lives are tangible parables of Christ in the middle of a city that has great need. One of the highlights of my time there was getting to visit the church that they pastor at - Scum of the Earth: http://www.scumoftheearth.net/

Composed predominately of a ragamuffin crew, and ministering and opening their doors to many who might feel outcasted in a more traditional chruch setting (like mohawked punk rockers and weatherd homeless friends), Scum is able to fill a unique and oh so beautiful role in buliding up Christ's body.

Jess is pregnant with a baby girl and we're pretty sure that their new little bundle and our little Jordan are soul mates.
Below is a picture of Jess' cute pregnant belly growing, and Tim with... sympathy bloating :)

Thanks so much for having me out guys!

And... on a completely different note:

When I got back, Grandpa Bebe took us out to see Josiah's to his first live baseball game. It was only a minor league team, but to Josiah the whole event was eye popping wonder and, ironically, Josiah's favorite part of the eveining was getting to watch the mascots who would come out and dance. As you can see below it was "Wild West" night. Too Fun.

Great pictures! Thanks for sharing. What a neat group of friends we have.

I am so thankful for the beautiful family the Lord has formed using you and Cameron. I am so happy to hear that you are sharing your parental wisdom with others. I'm sure the little Dunbar baby will be a wonderful new friend for Jordan :)
